The Pious Rhetoric of Experience And Growth

Is experience your best teacher?

Will you grow automatically?

If you answered “yes” to any one of those two questions, then your are destined to be no different from the unremarkably average.

I plead guilty.

I also fell victim to the pious rhetoric. The truth is that you will not grow automatically; it must be scheduled. The fact is that experience is not your best teacher; it must be evaluated.

The certitude is that you must work hard to master the various categories in your life. If you apply focus on those categories, then you are guaranteed to live a life of purpose. If you continue your lackadaisical philosophy, then you have sentenced yourself to a life of regrets.
