You say that experience is the best teacher? Unfortunately, you are are wrong. Why? Because experience is not the best teacher -- evaluated experience is.
I would go through life assuming that if I experienced allot of stuff that through osmosis I would get better. Sadly that was rarely the case, if ever. I slowly realized that evaluated experience and the frequency of that evaluation was critical to my personal growth.

- If you review yearly then your next year will be better.
- If you review monthly then your next month will be better.
- If you review weekly then your next week will be better.
- If you review daily then your next day will be better.
So by examining your experiences frequently, you can quickly react to what's not working and make the appropriate course corrections; to get you where you want to be.
