I am so very honored to be working with Google New York on this photowalk. I was asked a few weeks ago by the Google+ Local New York City team. But our schedules conflicted. And when I mean conflicted I mean that I was not available :-) In any event, if you are in New York City on May 11 -- I would love to see you. We can walk the Lake. And chit-chat about photography. And even grab a … [Read more...]

This is The lake in Central park. I find it to be a very peaceful part of the park. Especially in the very early weekend mornings. This particular capture was taken around 7:00 AM, this past weekend. It was a bit cold but I had a hot cup of coffee with me. The Lake is sits on the south-west side of Central Park. You can walk in through the 72nd Street entrance. And then follow one of the … [Read more...]

By far one of New York City's most prized possessions is Central Park. The Park is enjoyed by both old and young nearly 365 days a year. During the summer months Central Park is very busy -- playing host to families, boat races, softball games and quiet strolls with a loved ones. And in the colder months -- while not as busy -- Central Park is still buzzing. Primarily with handsome cab … [Read more...]

Case-in-point, this capture has a beautiful reflection of the Time Warner Center, surrounding buildings and the blue sky. I have received a number of comments on this photograph. Many are saying … [Read more...]

I was simply ill-prepared for night photography. This was my first time shooting at night. And I had a light fall jacket, baseball hat and no gloves. But as a cursed the bitter weather and gusts … [Read more...]

Location This is Central Park in New York City. The Story The park never ceases to inspire me. And in part I think it's a photographers paradise. I think that I could spend weeks in Central Park before getting bored. The the past few weeks I have been hanging out in Central Park South. And I have been making it a point to explore the southern part of the park. I have found a … [Read more...]

Location This is the Bow Bridge on The Lake near Central Park South. The Story So part of Bow Bridge is under maintenance. I know that you can't tell from this photo. But that is because the ugly yellow caution tape and orange mesh -- are behind me. While standing on the bridge I was visualizing. I wanted to see what was the best perspective. I took a number of captures and … [Read more...]

Location This was taken at Central Park South. And the bridge is known as the Bow Bridge. The Story and Call To Action This will be my final capture of 2012. This year has been wonderful for me. I found a new passion in photography, my family is growing and 2013 holds so many new but planned goals. Not to mention the new possibilities that will pop-up along my 2013 … [Read more...]
