My Ride For A Day Of Apple Picking

A Quick Rest Before Apple Picking

Location

Somewhere in Central New Jersey — picking apple.

The Story

There really is no story behind this photo.

This past weekend my family and I went apple picking. It was the first time. And it was a pleasant time. The weather was wonderful and we collected about $30 worth of apples.

Yep, $30!

And it’s so easy to spend that much money. I mean you are not even thinking about it. You pick, your wife picks, your kids pick. And by the time you notice it — you have two bags full of yummy apples. Yeah, we were taste-testing.

And as we were leaving this tractor caught my attention. It was full of character:

  • rusted
  • weathered
  • dirty
  • over-worked
  • muddy
It had charm baked right-in. I was able to get a few photos in before my son jumped in the driver seat. And demanded that I now take photos of him.
Hmmm… so I guess there was a story after all.
