NYC’s Manhattan Bridge Sleepy But Ready To Work

NYC's Manhattan Bridge Sleepy But Ready To Work

Location

This is the Manhattan Bridge in New York City. And it was taken from my new favorite place in NYC — Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Workflow

There is something to be said about waking up at 5 AM, for work. But it’s something else entirely to wake up at 5 AM to take pictures of a bridge. Yes, you can say it — “I am certifiable!” And trust me I also question getting up this early. I mean, I am not a morning person. More like a mid-morning person. So with that said — I am not jumping for joy at 5 AM. Or do I have a smile on my face :-)

I am more like stumbling for coffee.

So why do I do it? Why do I get up so early to capture a few dozen photos?

Blue hour.

There is simply no better time of the day than blue hour to take stunning photos. The Manhattan Bridge is a great subject. But at blue hour she becomes a work of art — that shimmers off the East River.
