I have an affection for the Brooklyn Bridge. I think it’s the most beautiful bridge in NYC. This photo was taken from the Brooklyn Bridge Park at blue hour. And I think she has never looked more beautiful.
I had about 40 minutes to get in all the blue hour captures on my To Do List. There is something rather majestic about the Brooklyn Bridge. Maybe because it’s one of the oldest bridges in NYC. I mean it was built-in 1883. And it has seen NYC grow over the past 129 years.
Only if she could talk — what a history teacher she would be
Today, the bridge is a big tourist attraction. Mainly because she has a narrow pedestrian walkway. It runs down the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge. On any given day you will see incredible views of the NYC skyline. You may also bump into other folks, joggers, strollers and bikes. Yep, it’s busy — it is said that 4,000 pedestrians and 3,100 cyclists cross the Brooklyn Bridge each day.
And many New Yorkers walk across the bridge to get to work. Or simply get to their destination in either Brooklyn or Manhattan.
